What began as a summer research project in 2024 became a heartfelt journey through time, exploring yearbooks, archives, and hidden artifacts tucked away within the school. The result is a rich and intimate portrait of a cherished institution that has stood at the core of our community since 1857.
 
Published by the Waterdown Museum of Hope, A History of Waterdown District High School: Non Sibi Sed Scholae is a 216-page, full-colour tribute to nearly 175 years of Waterdown’s only public high school. The book provides a look at the broader culture of Waterdown and Ontario over the last three centuries, highlighted by the ever-changing institution of public education.

​The book was a collaborative project involving students (including co-authors Sterling Fletcher and Ryan McCracken), community members, the Flamborough Archives, WDHS staff (both past and present), students, and alumni.
